Brand new HP sprocket 200 printer jamming print quality card continually. Not been able to use printer yet fuevto this initial step needed to.load new pack of zink paper. I've tried with two brand new paper packs with same result. Blue print quality card gets half way through, then jams.

@williana68,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Sprocket 200 is having trouble feeding the blue Print Quality Card, which is necessary for calibrating the Zink paper. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Paper Orientation

  • Make sure the blue Print Quality Card is at the bottom of the stack, with the barcode facing down.
  • The shiny side of the Zink paper should face up.

2. Fan the Paper Stack

  • Remove the Zink paper and gently fan the stack to prevent sticking.
  • Ensure the edges of the sheets are aligned and not curled.

3. Clean the Paper Path

  • Open the paper tray and check for dust or debris.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the paper path.
  • Do not use water or alcohol, as they might damage the printer.

4. Try a Single Sheet

  • Instead of loading a full pack, try inserting just the blue Print Quality Card alone and see if it feeds through.

5. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware:
    1. Open the HP Sprocket app on your phone.
    2. Go to Settings > Printer Settings > Firmware Update.
    3. Update if a newer version is available.

6. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the Sprocket.
  • Press and hold the Power button for about 7 seconds until the LED flashes.
  • Turn it back on and try again.

7. Try a Different Charging Cable

  • Sometimes, a low battery can cause feeding issues. Ensure it's fully charged using the original HP cable.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
