Hi @Goggles14
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Sprocket printer isn't holding its charge and dies after only a few prints, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check Battery Health
- Battery Age: If the printer is older or has been used extensively, the battery may be losing its capacity. Check if the battery is replaceable.
- Battery Calibration: Fully charge the printer, then let it run until it completely discharges. Repeat this process a couple of times to help recalibrate the battery.
2. Update Firmware
- Ensure your Sprocket has the latest firmware:
- Connect the printer to the HP Sprocket app on your phone.
- Check for any firmware updates in the app and install them if available.
3. Power Settings
- When you finish printing, ensure that you properly turn off the printer rather than leaving it in standby mode, which can drain the battery.
4. Storage Conditions
- Store the printer in a cool, dry place. Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance.
5. Use Official Accessories
- Make sure you are using the official charger and cable provided with the Sprocket. Third-party chargers may not provide the correct voltage.
6. Reset the Printer
- Sometimes, a reset can help resolve power-related issues. Check the user manual for instructions on how to reset the Sprocket.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
