HP SPROCKET 2-IN-1

Good Day:

I am reaching out about my HP Sprocket 2-in-1 camera/printer. I received this as a gift and it worked great for a day. Now I have a red blinking light and an error message telling me the cover is off. I have tried taking the cover off and on numerous times and reset the device as well. I stil get the same error message. Can someone please help? Thanks!

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there's an issue with the sprocket cover.

Don't worry, I'm here to help.

Let's try updating the firmware -

Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Internet and then open the HP sprocket app. If there is a firmware update available, a firmware update screen displays. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update. Your printer must be charged to 50% or higher before a firmware update.

Also, try a printer reset -

On the printer, locate the pin-hole under the Paper Cover, insert a straight pin into the hole to press the
reset button until the printer turns off. Restart the printer.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

I had the same error message and the above mentioned steps did not work.  I am still getting an error message that the paper cover is not on.

my firmware version is v1.08.24.06 and I’ve done the hard reset several times now.

thanks!
