I got a new hp sprocket 200 like an hour ago, and the photo print quality is decent but every photo I print has a weird blue tint to it? For example there's a white vehicle in a photo I printed, yet there's a blue tint which makes it appear light blue rather than white. It's affecting the photo as a whole, as every area of it has some blue tint to it which is ruining the quality.

Hi @SporyCrocodile,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Sprocket 200 is consistently producing photos with a noticeable blue tint, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check the Photo Paper: Ensure that you are using HP Sprocket photo paper designed for the Sprocket 200. Using incompatible or expired paper may affect print quality.
- Calibrate the Printer: Some portable printers, including the HP Sprocket, may benefit from calibration. Check the printer's user manual for instructions on how to calibrate the device.
- Update Firmware: Make sure that your HP Sprocket 200 has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, HP releases firmware updates to address printing issues. Check HP's official website or the Sprocket app for any available updates.
- Adjust Photo Settings: Check the settings in the Sprocket app or on your device before printing. Look for any color or quality settings and experiment with adjustments to see if it makes a difference.
- Temperature and Storage: Extreme temperatures can affect the performance of portable printers. Ensure that the printer is stored and used within the recommended temperature range. Extreme cold or heat can impact the quality of prints.
- Clean the Print Head: Over time, the print head of the Sprocket may accumulate dust or residue. Check the user manual for instructions on how to clean the print head properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have had a similar issue for ages, if you look in all the forums, lots of people have exactly the same issue, it appears to be a hardware issue but you will just get the stock replies from HP support of firmware, calibration sheet, reset, all of which do NOTHING. My advice would be send it back and get a printer that actually works. The way HP deals with people with this issue is as awful as the print quality.
I am going to post as many bad reviews on places like Amazon and other outlets to warn people away from this terrible product.
