I've been trying to get my HP Sprocket studio printer to work for days. First i thought i didn't have the right charger since when it was plugged in the light flashed red. Then i bought a new one and it seemed to work, the app let it try to print a picture (with a brand new cartridge and paper) and then mid printing it stopped and the picture never came out finished. The paper was still attached to the cartridge and just stuck like that. Then i cut it off and am trying to charge it again with the new charger. Blinking red light again!! I don't know what to do any more, anyone have an tips/similar experiences? I really loved this printer and have spent so much money on it I'd like for it to work again.

Hi @v1elvet,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your HP Sprocket Studio printer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check Battery Level: Ensure that the printer has sufficient battery power. If the battery is low, it may not function properly. Charge the printer for an adequate amount of time.
  • Use Original Charger: Make sure you are using the original charger or a certified replacement. Using a different charger may not provide the correct power requirements for the printer.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates for your HP Sprocket Studio printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
  • Restart Printer and App: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Additionally, close the Sprocket app on your mobile device and reopen it. This can help in resetting any temporary glitches.
  • Reinstall the App: Uninstall the Sprocket app from your mobile device and reinstall it. This can help ensure that you have the latest version of the app.
  • Check Cartridge and Paper: Make sure that the cartridge and paper are properly installed. Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly, and the cartridge is securely in place.
  • Remove and Reinsert Cartridge: Try removing the cartridge and reinserting it. This can help establish a better connection between the printer and the cartridge.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: If the printer is still not working, you may want to perform a hard reset. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this, as the process can vary among models.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
