HP Sprocket

For some reason my HP sprocket won't appear in the devices for connecting to my phone via bluetooth.

the bluetooth on my phone is on and the sprocket is on and fully charged. 

I have tried reseting the sprocket, restarting my phone and redownloading the app. 

I also have the most updated IOS for apple and the sprocket does not need firmware updates as far as i can tell but you need to connect the sprocket to phone to update it so that doesnt help anyway. 

Why can't i connect the devices and how can i fix this?

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:

  • Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the HP sprocket app and pair it again from iTunes?
  • Does the iPhone work with other Bluetooth devices?
  • Does the sprocket connect to another iOS device such as an iPad?

For now, try these steps:

  • First, we need to eliminate hardware issues with the Sprocket.
  • Perform a factory restore on the HP sprocket.
  • Follow steps from this link: https://hp.care/2BH91Go (HP Sprocket Photo Printers - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • Perform the steps from this section “How do I reset my printer?”
  • Then perform all the relevant steps from this section “Why am I unable to connect my Apple iOS device?”
  • Perform those steps that have not been done by you yet.

Now check for issue resolution.

  • If it continues, try pairing the HP Sprocket device with another iOS device like an iPad and check if it pairs and works correctly.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the HP Sprocket app and check if it corrects the issue.

This might do the trick for you.

 

If the issue continues, the sprocket may be faulty and might need to be replaced by contacting HP phone support. I am being honest about it by keeping tour best interest in mind without beating around the bush.

  • Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
  • Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
  • Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
  • Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.
