HI @Ashi11,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Sprocket 200 is experiencing a couple of issues: not turning off as expected and printing only partially or getting stuck. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot both problems:
Issue 1: Sprocket 200 Not Turning Off
- Make sure that the power settings on the Sprocket 200 are correctly configured. Verify that the auto-off feature is indeed set to 3 minutes. Sometimes, settings might not save properly if there was an issue during the setup.
- You mentioned that you already reset the printer, but ensure you’re following the correct reset procedure. Typically, holding down the power button for about 10-15 seconds should perform a hard reset. If the printer is not responding to this, it could be a sign of a hardware issue.
- Fully charge the printer battery before performing further troubleshooting. Sometimes, low battery levels can affect the printer’s ability to power off correctly.
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your Sprocket 200. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve power management issues. You can do this through the HP Smart app or by visiting HP’s support website.
Issue 2: Print Jobs Coming Out Half or Getting Stuck
- Ensure that the HP ZINK paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray. The paper should be inserted with the correct orientation, and the tray should be properly aligned with no paper jams or obstructions.
- Look inside the printer for any visible paper jams or obstructions. Remove any stuck paper carefully. Sometimes small bits of paper or debris can cause printing issues.
- Clean the rollers and other accessible parts inside the printer. Dust or residue can affect paper feeding and printing quality. Use a soft, dry cloth or a lint-free cloth to gently clean these areas.
- Confirm that you are using the correct type of HP ZINK paper for your Sprocket 200. Using incompatible paper or older, damaged paper can lead to printing issues.
- If your Sprocket 200 has a calibration feature, use it to ensure the printer is correctly aligned and functioning. Calibration can sometimes resolve issues with partial prints or paper jams.
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of the HP Smart app. An outdated app can sometimes cause communication issues between your phone and the printer.
- If possible, try using a different pack of HP ZINK paper. Sometimes, a faulty paper pack can cause printing issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
