Hi @char1esincharge, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out to us here in the HP Support Community – and it's definitely understandable to be concerned when your HP Sprocket's power button isn't responding! 😟 It's like trying to wake up your little pocket printer, but it's just stubbornly staying asleep! 😴 Let's gently go through these troubleshooting steps together, like we're softly coaxing your Sprocket back to life and ready to print those fun memories again. 📸➡️😊

If your HP Sprocket's power button is currently feeling unresponsive, like it's decided to take a break, let's use our senses and try these troubleshooting steps to try and wake it up. Think of it as a gentle nudge to get things going again! 😉 Here are some steps to try: 👇

Charge the Sprocket

  • Connect the Sprocket to a power source using the original USB cable.
  • Charge it for at least 30 minutes.
  • Check if the charging LED light turns on (usually red while charging and green when fully charged).

Try a Hard Reset

  • Locate the reset button (usually a small pinhole near the charging port).
  • Use a paperclip or SIM ejector tool to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds.
  • Release and try turning on the Sprocket again.

Check for Overheating

  • If the Sprocket feels warm, let it cool down for 10-15 minutes, then try turning it on again.

Try a Different Charging Cable and Adapter

  • Use a different USB cable and power adapter (preferably 5V/2A).
  • Plug it into a different power source, like a laptop USB port or wall charger.

Check for Physical Damage

  • Inspect the power button for any debris, damage, or misalignment.
  • If the button feels stuck, try gently pressing around it.

If none of these steps work, the power button or battery may be faulty.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!☀️📸😊
