I am having the same issues.  Brand new printer that was given to me as a gift.  I have done all the suggestios and still no improvement.  Magenta tone photos and a little too dark.  I replaced the paper and am getting the same thing.   I just registered it to file a claim and it says out of warranty.   I got it brand new so how is it out of warranty.  I searched many printers before deciding on this one and I think I made the wrong choice.
