When I edit the photo and I am ready to print, I go back a screen to print, but it is the original unedited photo again.  What am I doing wrong?  (Newbie here)

@Camerabug1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

It seems like after editing the photo, you are not saving it.

  1. From the home screen, swipe left or right to select a photo saved to your mobile device, Facebook, Instagram, or Google account.

  2. On the preview screen, tap Edit or the Edit icon  to adjust the photo appearance, add frames and stickers, and apply filters.

  3. Tap the Checkmark to save any changes, and then tap the Print icon .

Make sure the iOS is up to date

Go to Settings > general > update the software

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
