Sprocket 200

Out of the box my sprocket was at 0% charge. Connected to the app fine but wouldn’t print. Charged for about 5 hours with different cords and tried the reset button. It still says 0%.

Hi @cfost17,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Sprocket 200 won't charge or turn on despite trying different charging cords and using the reset button, there are a few additional steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check the Power Source:

  • Ensure that you are using a reliable power source. Try plugging the charging cable into a different USB port or wall adapter to eliminate the possibility of a faulty power source.

Inspect the Charging Cable:

  • Examine the charging cable for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If the cable appears damaged, try using a different, undamaged cable.

Verify Charging Indicator:

  • When the Sprocket is connected to a power source, there should be a charging indicator light. Check if the indicator is lit while charging. If not, it could indicate an issue with the power source, cable, or the Sprocket itself.

Try a Different Power Outlet:

  • Plug the charging cable into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the outlet.

Attempt a Hard Reset:

  • In addition to the reset button, try performing a hard reset. To do this, press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds until the charging light turns off. Then, release the button and attempt to turn the Sprocket on again.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your Sprocket is running the latest firmware. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Sprocket app. If there is an update available, install it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
