Sprocket won't access pictures on new phone

HP Recommended
iOS 12 - 12.0.1

Hi, I just started using a new iPhone SE. I had previously connected my sprocket to my old iPhone 5S and didn't have any problems printing pictures on that older device. Now when I go to print pictures on my iPhone SE from the Gallery I see the message "Go to device Settings to allow Photos access."

I have deleted and re-installed the app. I made sure to authorize the app to access photos during set up. I've double checked the settings and the app is set to access my camera.

There's another thread on this from May which I read but it didn't answer my question. I'm wondering if this problem is related to my sprocket having been connected to my old iPhone first?

I'm running the latest version of iOS. I have the sprocket app version 2.59. The sprocket itself connects just fine. My sprocket is on firmware version 1.1.8, hardware version 6.

There don't seem to be any settings that I can change that will solve my problem, so if someone here could help me I'd really appreciate it.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

It sounds like HP Sprocket app does not have Read and Write permissions. Let's try these steps:

1.) On your iPhone, open Settings.

2.) Scroll all the way down and touch Sprocket.

3.) Touch Photos and select Read and Write.

4.) Close and re-open HP Sprocket App.

Let me know how it goes!
