Welcome to HP Support Community, @mhad123

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

1 Space and Fit
GTX 1060 6GB is larger than most standard GPUs for this system.
Check if there is enough physical space inside the HP 280 G1 MT cabinet.

2 Power Supply Requirements
Ensure the PSU supports the GPU.
GTX 1060 usually needs additional power connectors and higher wattage than the stock PSU.

3 Removing DVD Drive
Removing the DVD drive may create extra space.
However, it usually does not impact GPU compatibility unless blocking installation.

4 Motherboard Compatibility
Confirm the motherboard has a PCIe slot.
Also check if it supports the GPU requirements.

5 Cooling and Ventilation
Make sure the system has proper airflow.
High performance GPUs generate more heat.

6 Final Recommendation
Compare GPU size with cabinet space.
You may need a PSU upgrade or a bigger cabinet.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
