I understand you are facing an issue with the Windows key on your HP Victus laptop is not working, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Check if the Windows Key is Disabled
Sometimes the Windows key can be disabled via the system settings or keyboard shortcuts. Try the following steps:
- Press Fn + F6 or Fn + Windows Key Lock if available on your keyboard. This combination might toggle the Windows key lock on or off.
2. Use Windows On-Screen Keyboard
To verify if the problem is with the physical key, you can use the on-screen keyboard:
- Press Windows + Ctrl + O to open the On-Screen Keyboard.
- Click the Windows key on the on-screen keyboard and see if it works.
3. Check Keyboard Settings
Ensure that the Windows key has not been disabled through the Windows settings:
- Open Settings (Press Windows + I).
- Go to Accessibility > Keyboard.
- Ensure Use the On-Screen Keyboard is turned off and check the other options to see if anything could interfere with the Windows key.
4. Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers
There might be an issue with the keyboard driver. You can try updating or reinstalling the driver:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Keyboards section.
- Right-click on your keyboard and choose Update driver.
- If no updates are available, select Uninstall device and restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
5. Check for Windows Updates
Make sure your system is up to date, as updates can fix bugs:
- Open Settings (Press Windows + I).
- Go to Windows Update and check for updates.
6. Run Windows Troubleshooter
