I have a hp sprout and its been working just fine. I was going to upgrade the ram from 2x4gb to 2x8gb but I ordered the wrong ones ,so I put the original ram back in ,and used the computer just fine. This was about a week ago ,and last night I went to turn it on ,and it wont turn on. The power supply is working I can here the fan when I put my ear to it ,and plug it in and unplug it. I moved the computer and like scooted it on the table a couple inches the projector lights came on. Wouldn't do anything else power button doing nothing no indacator lights. They didn't flicker I checked to see if anything in the back was loose. Nothing. I've changed the battery on the board unplugged the pc held the power on for 30 long seconds to get the juice out while unplugged. Still nothing. I did the same thing then left it unplugged all night nothing. Plugged a screen into the hdmi nothing. I was hoping someone had some advice 🙏  ty

Hi @Sirkench,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you've already taken several troubleshooting steps, but let's try a few more to see if we can identify the issue with your HP Sprout. Here are some additional steps you can take.

Check Power Source:

  • Ensure that the power outlet is working by trying a different device or using a different outlet.
  • Try using a different power cable to rule out any issues with the cable.

Reset Power Supply:

  • Disconnect the power cable from both the wall outlet and the computer.
  • Press and hold the power button on the computer for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable and try turning on the computer.

Inspect RAM Installation:

  • Double-check that the RAM is securely and correctly installed.
  • Try booting the computer with only one RAM module at a time to see if one of them might be causing the issue.

Test without Peripherals:

  • Disconnect all peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc.) and try turning on the computer with only essential components connected.

Check for Loose Connections:

  • Ensure that all internal and external connections are secure. This includes cables, cards, and any other components.

Inspect for Physical Damage:

  • Check for any visible signs of physical damage on the motherboard, components, or power supply.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • If possible, try booting the computer in safe mode. This can help determine if the issue is related to software or drivers.

Update BIOS/UEFI:

  • Check if there is a BIOS/UEFI update available for your HP Sprout model and update it if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
