WHILE RUNGING WINDWOS IF PRESS SHIFT BUTTON SYSTEM GO TO BLANK SCREEN

@MITHUNVISUAL, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the blank screen!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like you are encountering an issue where pressing the Shift button might cause the system to go to a blank screen. One possibility is that you have a shortcut or hotkey configured that might be inadvertently causing your system to perform an unexpected action, such as activating a mode similar to HP's Remote Graphics Software Setup Mode.

When using HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS), Setup Mode can be activated with a hotkey sequence, which by default could involve pressing keys such as Shift. In Setup Mode, transmission of keyboard and mouse events to the Remote Computer is suspended, allowing local interaction with the Remote Display Window on the Local Computer. This might cause the screen to appear dimmed or blank momentarily as the software transitions between modes.

However, if you are not actively using RGS, it's possible there might be other reasons for this behavior:

Keyboard Shortcuts: Some keyboard shortcuts involve the Shift key and might be set to trigger specific system actions. Check your system settings or any active applications for globally defined shortcuts.

Graphics Drivers: Sometimes unexpected graphics behavior can occur due to driver issues. Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date and functioning correctly.

Hardware Diagnostics: If the issue persists and affects normal operation, you might want to test your hardware for failures using tools such as HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
