Can not get HP support assistant to work. It just set there and spins a circle in the middle of my screen. What to do? I have uninstalled about 10 times and reinstall with no results.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that the HP support assistant is not working on your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall HP support assistant and then download and install it from the below link.
Here is how it is done.
- Open the Start menu.
- Click Settings.
- Click System on the Settings menu.
- Select Apps & features from the left pane.
- Select an app you wish to uninstall.
- Click the Uninstall button that appears. If it is grayed out, this is a system app you cannot remove.
- Click the Uninstall pop-up button to confirm.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Your suggestion did not work I have done that ten times. Here is what comes back at me. When I hit the ? icon it tell me :
You'll need a new app to open this hp support assistant link. Then it said to: Look for app in the Microsoft store. Then the results from that was: Results for hp support assistant no result found for this filtering. So what is next?

Hi @McCarty
Let's try these steps -
1) In the search box, type and open File Explorer and browse to this path - This PC > C: > Program Files (x86) > HP and delete the HP Support Framework folder.
2) Right-click on the Start or the Windows icon and click on Run, type %appdata% into the Run dialog and click on OK.
3) Delete the HP Support Framework folder located inside HP or Hewlett-Packard folder. Close that window and restart the computer.
4) Download and install the HP Support Assistant once again.
Let me know how that goes 🙂

I did the above and downloaded the support assist again. I must be missing something. When I ask it to RUN the download it comes back with this message: Overwrite protection: The following file is already on your computer c:\swsetup\sp99450\HPSA8x\HPSA_trans.xml. I tried the overwrite that ask Do you wish to overwrite this file? The chooses were: yes , yes to all, no, not to all. If I select the yes it does nothing, if I select the yes to all it show it overwriting but when I go to use it there is nothing.
