Hi @Saurabh86,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Getting that battery back to its optimal self, huh? 💪 Calibrating the battery can definitely help with accuracy when it comes to power levels and battery life.
Here’s the general process:
To Calibrate Your HP Laptop Battery:
-
Fully Charge Your Laptop:
- Plug in your HP laptop and allow it to charge to 100%.
- Leave it plugged in for 2 hours after reaching full charge to ensure it’s completely charged.
-
Drain the Battery:
- Unplug your laptop and use it normally, allowing the battery to drain.
- Let the battery drain until it reaches around 5-10%.
-
Shut Down the Laptop:
- When the battery is low, shut down the laptop to prevent it from going into sleep or hibernation mode.
-
Recharge to 100%:
- Plug your laptop back in and charge it to 100%.
- Allow it to stay plugged in for 1-2 hours once it reaches full charge.
-
Perform a Battery Test (Optional):
- You can also run a battery test using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool by pressing F2 during startup and selecting Battery Test.

This process helps your laptop re-sync its battery gauge with the actual battery capacity. Let me know how it goes!😊
We hope our assistance has been helpful!
Take care and have an amazing day!
