When I try calculating future value, it gives the incorrect answer. For example, $100 for 10 years at 10% with 0 payments. I type -100 PV, 10N, 10 I/YR, 0 PMT and hit FV. The calculator gives me $108.65. The answer should be $259.37.
When I try PV, I also get the wrong answer. I've verified and followed the procedures on different sites, forums, and YouTube videos, all which were exactly the same.
I've tried clearing it and resetting it. Am I missing something, or is the calculator just a POS?

Hi,
The variable "N" is total number of payments, not necessarily number of years.
On reset, the calculator is set to 12 payments per year. This can be set with P/YR.
Depending on the compounding period, either enter 120 for N or set P/YR to 1.
Regards.
EDIT: you will get the expected answer with P/YR set to 1. i.e.interest is compounded annually.
