Spectre 13-af001ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to install ADATA XPG SX8200 PRO 512 GB SSD to my HP Spectre 13-af001ne as the ssd it came with failed after only 13 months. I'm wondering if the said SSD is compatible with my laptop's mothetboard and if it physically fits since height (thickness) is 0.4cm whereas the existing one is 0.23cm. Moreover, will I experience heating issues with such a high performance SSD in my ultra thin device? Thanks in advance!

@W85b16367xsa4 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to upgrade the SSD.

Your laptop support for the following solid-state drives:

● 2-TB, M.2 2280-SATA-3/DS, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe), solid-state drive with triple-level cell (TLC)

● 1-TB, M.2 2280-SATA-3/DS, PCIe, NVMe, TLC

● 512-GB, M.2 2280-SATA-3/DS, PCIe, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC

● 360-GB, M.2 2280-SATA-3/DS, PCIe, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC

● 256-GB, M.2 2280-SATA-3/DS, PCIe, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC

Please see the manual

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support
