Hi All,

I bought this laptop couple of days before (20th August 2020).

From the first day I started to observe battery life hardly it works just 150-180 min for normal usage.

*Offline movie(150min duration) it drain completely (100% to <10%)

* Excel work alone in offline mode it drain completely within 180min.

I don't see this is normal for a brand new laptop.

Without internet access and not a heavy work(graphics related works) it's get drained less than 3 hrs.

I was completely down with this performance.

Kindly suggest something to improve battery performance.

Note:

I not changed any settings/option related to battery or system settings.

Regards,

Disappointment HP customer.

I reviewed your post and I understand that battery drains fast on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, then reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under the device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Even I am unable to pull any information using the product number you have shared.

I recommend you go ahead and perform the second method which I have shared and check if it helps.
