Bitlocker requires key after each restart

HP Pavilion X2
I have my recovery key and after entering it, it requires me to restart.
After restarting I am prompted again to enter it. I can not seem to get passed this step.

Please note- I have the recover key

Hi @Taylorf1993,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that BitLocker is asking for the recovery key every time you start the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As you have mentioned that you are unable to boot to desktop and after the recovery key computer restarts, I recommend you make sure that there are no devices connected to the computer like flash drive, external HDD or any peripherals and test.

If the issue persists, then I recommend you do a reset on the computer.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care.

Cheers!
