HP Elitebook 840 g5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got some windows update. After windows update on my syatem elitebook 840 g5, camera stopped working, its popped out error, camera not detected, when i opened deivce manager, their is no hardware shown, even by choosing the option show hidden device camera is not showing.  Kindly help to get through the issue. 

Also please let me know any key combination from keyboard to enable or disable camera on this hp elitebook 840g5.

Hi !

We are currently having almost the same issue in our company since March/April. Only HP 840 G5 models are impacted.

We already tried to update or rollback the drivers, update the BIOS we scanned for damaged files, we uninstalled 3rd party webcam apps.

 

For your issue, I think you can check in the BIOS and check if the integrated camera feature is disabled.
