you are correct only F1, F2 and F9 work

did the power/vol up/down again and reloaded bios which updated and then it automatically rebooted into the "boot file authentification" error again!

just draining battery again to reboot and clear cmos.

will let you know how I get on (have to go out now)

Hi all

I have left it to drain so that the cmos can reset itself,.... again.... and again! ....I am not stupid so I wont waste my money on another hp product, as far as I can tell, there is nowhere but the bin/trash for this piece of so called technology,

.......unless you know something I dont...........
