For some reason when I turn the bluetooth keyboard on (hp envy) it won't show up under as an available device for me to pair too when I go to my bluetooth settings on my Samsung tablet. Can the hp keyboards not connect to tablets? There is no button to make the keyboard ready to pair it only has an on switch and a charging port.

@12rakaiahelpme, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

What is the exact model of the keyboard you are using?

Let us try these steps: (Applicable Only for HP Bluetooth Keyboards)

  1. Make sure the keyboard is in working condition and charged
  2. Turn on the keyboard switch
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your tablet (go to Settings > Bluetooth > Turn on)
  4. Press the "fn" and "Bluetooth icon" keys at the same time. The LED on the keyboard starts to blink (Pairing mode)
  5. Check if the tablet detects the Bluetooth keyboard
  6. Click the Bluetooth keyboard icon on the screen
  7. Bluetooth pairing request window will pop up
  8. type the 6 digit pairing code that you see on screen using the case keyboard keys
  9. Press “Enter” key
  10. The tablet will pair with this keyboard and then you can use the keyboard normally

Refer to this document for more info.

NOTE: If you have a Wireless Keyboard, you will not be able to connect it to a tablet.

Refer to this document.

Let me know how this goes.
