HP Elite x 2
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My tablet's motherboard was just changed and since then the 'camera light' at the back hasn't turned off. Is there a way to turn it off? The camera is not on, and I haven't found a flashlight option on the tablet so I don't really know what else the light could be. I have turned the tablet on and off couple of times but it doesn't make a difference. Please help!

Essentially, if you have checked and exhausted the various methods to control / fix the camera and none of them work, then the issue might be related to a mis-wired component or other failure.

Troubleshooting and checks include...

  • Ensure Windows Updates have been checked and run
  • Make sure all HP Software and Drivers are Updated
  • Run component tests on the hardware
  • Contact the facility that repaired your computer
