Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This morning I restarted my computer because the start up menu wasn’t working for some reason. Then I tried to log back in with my microsoft account but it said the password was incorrect. So I changed the password on my phone, but it still says my password is incorrect when I know it isn’t, as I’ve tried it on my phone multiple times. I noticed that the internet icon has a red x (the one next to the ease of access and power button). i’m not sure if that has anything to do with it not working (and i’m not sure why it’s displaying that, the wifi is working just fine). it would be a tremendous help if anyone has a solution, i would hate to lose all of my personal files.

  • Have you tried wired-ethernet connection?
  • Are you getting any error message while logging in to windows?

If you're using a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. For more info, go to the Reset your password webpage.

I’ve tried resetting my password but it still says password incorrect. And I’ve tried to restart my wifi a few times and i still can’t login.
