When I select a video from my Whatsapp inbox, it appears to start loading but nothing else happens. It shows a blury image of the video cover in the background while the little dots in front move from left to right. And it goes on and on, but the video never plays. Did I miss doing some kind of set up additional to downloading Whatsapp app? Thank you for your help.

Thank you very much for your kind response. I feel sorry to say this, but I am not that good as a computer or smartphone technician, so when I get a video through the Whatsapp app I really do not know what kind of video it is. But, the good news is that I happened to UPDATE THE SOFTWARE and then ALONG CAME THE SOLUTION. Now the videos are playing!

Hi,
Do you know what is the format of videos ? People tested videos with Whatsapp and get mixed results:
- MP4 (mpeg4 + ac3): failed
- MP4 (mpeg4 + aac): failed
- MP4 (H264 + aac): success
- Matroska (mpeg4 + aac): failed
- AVI (mpeg4 + aac): failed
- AVI (H264 + aac): failed
