I am trying to find out if you can buy other active pens for the HP Elitebook 360. The HP pens are not on the approved list for my organization, but I want an active pen to use. Any help would be awesome, I looked at old forums but the links no longer work. Thank you.

The link to the old compatibility document, were it still available, would not help.

HP does not include recommendations for Not-HP pens.

Regardless, your company IT department, having forbidden use of the supported devices, should / might have recommendations for you.  it is worth asking - having made a decision to not allow the device, perhaps they have investigated alternatives.

So... what?

Looking at the Driver information for the supported HP Active Pen, reference is made to the pen type.

Excerpted

This package contains the driver that enables the Wacom Active Electro-Static (AES) digitizer to be used with supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The digitizer driver supports use of a stylus on the display panel.

This does not mean a competitor's Wacom pen will work - it does state that the driver supports the HP version of the device.

Ask your IT people for additional information.
