Ok, loving the new update (1.4) and the video recording is cool and all....
But...how do I get the damned videos off the phone and onto my computer so that I can edit them??
I know you can UPLOAD to Youtube and Facebook, but why can't I connect the phone to the USB port and browse a folder and copy the videos to my computer? I cannot find the videos in the Media folder yet when I bring up the video player on the phone, the videos appear in the list. So where are they on the phone? I really do not want to upload a 57Mb video to Facebook or email it from my phone over the air...the video recording is useless if you can't copy from phone to computer...

This doesn't make much sense, but there's other issues with the naming of photos since the WebOS 1.4 update.
Hopefully uploading videos to Facebook and YouTube will be solved in the next update.
Hope this helps. 🙂

Took me a moment to figure this out also. You copy them from your phone to your my pictures file (usually in my documents folder) in windows.
1) Plug the phone to your computer via the usb cable.
2) Touch the mass storage/USB drive button when the Pre asks how you want to connect.
3) Click the start bottom in the bottom left of Windows and then click on My computer. There you will see all of your drives. For example, the Hard drive, DVD drive, and the now visible Pre.
4) Click on the Pre.
5) Find the folder named DCIM. Open it and find the folder named 100PALM. Open it. You will find all of your pictures and your videos. The pictures should all be visible in as thumbnails. The Videos should appear as MPG4 files.
6) Click on the video (or picture) of your choice. Double click the video files to view them. When you have the one you want to download then...
7) Click on Copy this file, which can be found in the left column of the window you currently have open.
😎 Your computer will then open up a small window asking you where you want to copy it. I copy them to the My Videos folder. I created a new folder called Palm Pre videos (within th My videos folder) just for my palm pre videos.
After you do it a few times you will have no problems.
NOTE: You can copy PICTURES just as you do when you insert a picture card into your computer card reader slot or usb card reader. The computer will recognize the pre when you connect it (by pressing the mass storage or USB Dive button that appears on the Pre) by USB. The computer will automatically open a window and ask you what you want to do. Click the program you want to use to download all pictures or you can do it manually as you do with the videos as shown above.
