You are using "Numeric Constants Mode". To turn this mode on or off, follow below steps:
1. Go to the MODES menu (press green/right-shift MODES).
2. Hit the key for FLAG submenu.
3. Toggle the second flag "Constant -> symb" to turn on and off.
