When ever I put a SD card in my HP 50g the calculator will not start up. If i take the SD card out and the batterys out then then replace them the calulator will restart in re-boot mode. Any ideas to solve my issue. Don't really want to buy a new one.

Hi,

Have you tried different SD cards?

Make sure the SD card is not more than 2GB, as the 50g cannot use SD cads that are bigger than 2GB.

Also it is better to format the SD card on a computer before using in the 50g. Choose FAT format.

EDIT: no need to use alternative software to format the SD card, the formatter from Windows/Mac/Linux operating system will do just fine, all you need to do is choose FAT format [FAT (default), FAT16 or FAT32 will all work].

If, after following the above guidelines, the 50g still resets with an SD card, the SD slot may be faulty and you should contact HP support.

Regards.
