Hello *.*
I downloaded text editor Word Calc 1.2, installed it to my HP 50g, and it worked. However I don't know how to exchange files between Word Calc and the PC. I tried to use SEND / RECV options (via USB) in the Word Calc, and nothing happened.
So I belive that problem is up to software. The PC software I tried to use was HPUserEdit v5.4.0.850. Should I upgrade or simply use different PC software?
I should notice that using Conn4x (50g calculator connectivity kit) works perfectly with the USB interface. Word Calc alone works fine, too.
Thanks,
Ivan

You can, use ...
Debug4x - http://www.hpcalc.org/details/5441 and http://www.hpcalc.org/details/5456
EMACS - http://www.hpcalc.org/details/3940
For transfer, to PC IMHO, is better copy first the file, in SD and after copy to PC.
You can see, the SDFILER version 1.0 - http://www.hpcalc.org/details/6524
Have a nice day !.

Using Emacs or Debug4x seems as an overkill. I do not need that powerful editors. All I need is a utility for PC to make ASCII documents, and a small Utility for 50g -- like Word Calc -- to display it (and make some small changes to the document).
I tried using HPUserEdit 6, and the same happened.
I'll try contacting Word Calc's author and ask him how he managed file exchange between PC and HP 50g.
Thanks, anyway...

Hi!, @stameni:
If use the better editor as HPUserEdit6, you can create global variable, in HOME (VAR).
1: 'file name' STO
Then, you can copy directly with FILES, (left shift white + APPS keys), in SD.
You can use, SDMC <= 2Gb., with FAT16 format. The SD, what compliant with excelente performance HP, Sandisk, Kingston, ADATA, etc ...
Learn, the use of SD ... https://support.hp.com/es-es/product/hp-50g-graphing-calculator/3235173/document/c01974483
With the file in the SD, you can copy to PC directly, with one card reader.
Have a nice day !.
