As I understand the HP Active Pen stylus tip is broken,
I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern,
as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said, I recommend you replace the HP Active Pen as that is a physical damage and cannot be repaired as such.
If the product is under warranty, send me a private message with the product & serial number along with the country you are in, now.
So that I may help you with the replacement order set up (Also, please be advised that such physical damages are not covered within the standard warranty and may include charges).
