My HP Chromebook X2 battery percentage shown on the menu never shows correct hours or percentage remaining, even after fully charged. It could start with3 hours then after an hour show12 hours. I can't rely on what it says. I read about checking battery status and it seems good but it refuses to show a reliable duration remaining, Any is how to fix this?

@Maris_
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

For this I will refer you to this Google Chromebook troubleshooter: Fix hardware and system issues

Also, try setting the notebook back to its factory settings. You can use the following document to initiate: HP Chrome OS - Powerwash: Performing a Factory Reset on Your HP Chromebook or Chromebox (Chrome OS)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Well, I never was able to solve this, but it doesn't affect the battery time I actually receive so I'm not worrying about it. Fortunately, the battery low light blinks when I need charging, and because I use my X2 on a regular schedule, I can sense when the battery will soon need charging. Otherwise, this X2 is perfect for my uses and I'm very happy with it.
