I definitely agree with your flip-cover finding, and it really started with the "creators update". Hopefully the update for July will finally fix it. I'm using the regular cover until resolved.

I agree that it all started with the "creators update". Before this update no problems.
Repair: My boss is ordering, i hope he get's permission from his boss, a brand new one.
Repairs are to expensive. I raid about € 375,= only for the display and then i also have the sim/sd card issue.

Hi There! Any updates on this? Had constantly freezing/black screen issues with cover. But never saw it again when cover removed. Still wonna back to using flip cover again. Just wondering if it gonna be fixed one day... Thank you!

Well, If I ever had any doubt about the cover beeing the problem it is now fone, after the whole summer without Cover and not a single black-screen I started using flip-cover today - black was first thing - reboot.
Lets see how long it works after the reboot. Hope this is fixed some time- like the clip cover

The lastest firmware seems to have fixed the issue permanantly for me. No freezes and no restarts.... I did have to do a factory reset from an insider preview and then install all the updates but works like a charm now

I was trying flip cover again for few days (have all updates installed), finally got several reboots and black screens. Shame for this kind of business phone... Now removed flip cover again - works fine without it. Looks like it never gonna be fixed?... Sad

For those with issues without the flip cover I would attempt a reset on the latest version. Hope it is fixed as a matter of principle.
Remember, the phone was good before the update in may (creators update)
