Hi,
Can I use any USB-C to USB-C cable when connecting the X3 to the LapDock or I should only use the cable that came with the LapDock.
I tried to use a cable that came with my Macbook and a third party cable, and the dock kept on rebooting. Is this a bug or it is because I'm using a the system with third party cables.
Regards

I don't think it's your cable since I'm having the same problem (LapDock keeps rebooting when connect it via the USB C cable.) I'm using the original cable that came with the Lap Dock. I've also tried other cables and the same thing happened. For me, this problem seemed to have started after the most recent Creators Update back in late April / early May but I'm not sure it they're related.
Also, I called HP Elite Support and they just said to send it in to be looked at...

I have ruhe same issues. Reboots during continuum between lapdock and x3. Reboots occur cabled AND Wireless! Lapdock experience needs a severe update to fix reboot and touchpad experience.
Touchpad runs smooth, but some multi-touch gestures seem to cause apps to minimze or close and webpages in Edge to reload occasionally!
