HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

 I recently got an Envy x360 at BestBuy. The guy working at BestBuy said that the new BambooInk would be compatible with the laptop. It is. However I can not for the life of me find where the settings for pressure sensitivity are. I've already "calibrated" the laptop and pen. But it is so pressure sensitive that it hardly matters how many levels it has. I would like to adjust it.

 How do I do that?

@Cheschmouse Welcome to HP Community!

I understand you have issues using stylus accurately on your laptop.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Did you get the HP active pen along with the tablet?

Please provide the product number of your laptop to assist you better.

As you mentioned you have issues using stylus accurately on your laptop.

I have checked the specifications of your laptop. And according to the specifications, the active stylus is not supported on your laptop.

So you can use only passive stylus on your laptop. This decreases the accuracy when you use it on your laptop.

 An active stylus (also known as a digital stylus) uses a digitizer built into the screen to allow communication between the touch screen and the pen. An active stylus might support many or all of the functions supported by a mouse, such as right-click, hover, and more. Many active stylus models can block stray marks from your hand resting on the screen or the sweep of your palm while writing so that the screen only registers marks made by the pen.

A passive stylus (also known as a capacitive stylus) functions the same as your finger on the screen. Passive styluses do not require batteries, and they work on any touchscreen device.
