Hi , i have the hp Micro sd and i can give you the content. I'm about to try to copy the sd's Files to usb stick formatted as fat 32 to work with uefi. I will give you updates.

The file size of the install.wim is too big for FAT32 filesystem so the stick needs to be formatted as alternate type... 😞

There is no "hp tools" folder at all inside!
What the hell shall we do?

Hi SonicR,

My omni 10 stil has not display after discharging and charging cycle.

I have tried the key combination many times but only got short vibration and long vibration with black screen.

During the vibration, I can see the light of usb flash drive kept flashing for around 3 seconds and then it disappeared.

Do you still have display after flashing the new released bios?

Very disappointed with HP and will never buy this brand again.

My tablet also got black screen with no light, but after I tried those steps mentioned in my previous comment, I got light from the screen and with bios recovery running. I think it need perfect timing. If you still can't got it worked, I have no idea too.

Hope u got luck!

Hey SonicR, do you actually have an Omni 10? Or are you talking about a different tablet...
While i appreciate it may have a similar solution to recovery it may not apply to the Omni 10...
Anymore suggestions?

My last fix was to call HP italian support center and they were so kind , delicious and patient. We tried to recover bios this way: press on keyboard B+Windows then keeping them pressed turn tablet on and release button, so Windows then B (or B and Windows). It should start the bios recover. Not in My case unfortunately. They will send another sample in place of mine which i will send to them later. I wish to thank HP for the proper behavior, even if i feel so sorry for The happening.

Hi,

What do you mean Keyboard B? Did you connect a external keyboard?

Thanks,

Excuse me, i wrote from my smartphone and I missed some details...

I connected an external USB keyboard, then I followed these steps: Press and hold "Windows (button with windows icon) + B", then press for 1 second the tab's ON button, release this, then WINDOWS button, then B (or vice-versa).

It didn't work for me, so I was offered the sostitution of the unit. The new table has been already sent to me and I'm very glad! I need to work with that...

This is the best I did and I fear there are no more solutions, unless you're lucky and the Bios update didn't brick the tablet at all...I think in my case it overwrote some sector which handles the EMMC and no instructions are working now.

It only boots from USB stick. I could suggest to try with ubuntu stick, ora Windows 10 USB installation drive....
