@jkpmumbai,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues with the touchscreen stopped working on your HP Omni tablet. Don't worry I'll be glad to help you.

I suggest you to unhide the hidden drivers in Device Manager and check if you can locate the driver by following the steps below:

  1. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  2. In the menu bar, click on View and select show hidden devices.
  3. If the device is visible, Right click on the driver and select Update driver software.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try these steps here:

enable the touch screen driver in Device Manager:

  1. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Human Interface Devices heading.
  3. The touch screen device is labeled HID-compliant touch screen, or similar. Right-click the touch screen device.
  4. If the option to enable the device is included in the menu, click Enable.

If the Enable option does not appear in the menu, continue to the next step:

  1. Reinstall the touch screen driver in Device Manager
  2. Install Windows updates
  3. Update the BIOS and graphics driver
  4. Configure the touch display
  5. Perform a touch screen diagnostic test in HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
  6. Adjust the power management settings for your touch screen
  7. Reset your computer
  8. Perform a Microsoft System Restore
  9. Perform an HP System Recovery

Click here to know: How to perform each step.

(though the header is different the steps will help fix your concern)

Let me know if those steps worked for you.

If they did, that’s awesome!

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.

there is nothing to do with any software or driver issue when touch screen is not working. I have faced this problem many times on my HP OMNI 10 TAB. This is some hardware issue. You need to open the tab cover behind. You will find three cables with micro connectors attached to the processor. You need to disconnect them and connect  again. It will work again. Keep using the tab everyday. Then, I have found this problem does not occur.

Hi, i have same problem with not responsive touch screen, and tried everything what I found on different forums, but problem remained, or even some tricks like disconecting cables helped but just temproary. I realized that there is a problem with electostatic charge on cable conections, and easy way to remove it to spray a bit as example liquid oil like VD40 or etc on cable conections (do not have to disconect them). It keeps touch screen running for a month or etc. If problem ocures again - spray a drop of liquid oil again. It worked for me. Hope it will work for you too.

Good luck
