Thank you, Brando.  You answered my questions completely and added some very useful info too.  I truly appreciate your time and helpfulness!

While researching the 50G I found some very interesting 3rd party software for it that even makes improvements on the GUI in various places.  I am posting this for those of you who may not know:

Yes its very powerfull, if you are a programmer you can program the HP 50G in either its interpreted language and store those programs on an SD card or you can program it in ANSI C.

Information on the HP 50G native language RPL (Reverse Polish Lisp) can be found on wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPL_(programming_language)

Information on programming the HP 50G with ansi C can be found here

There are plenty of resources online for learning the calculator and it truely is a very powerful device.

Hi!, @JDW:

IMHO, you can't put, in the Forum, the software, of Andreas Möller. Is, for purchase and not is, of HP.

Kind Regards !.
Have a nice day !.

Thank you again, Brando.  My 28S uses RPL too, so I'm glad to hear my old code will still work on the 50g.

As to posting URLs, Makè, I am rather shocked at how strict this forum is on mere "information sharing," especially when the info could be an incentive for someone to actually buy the calculator BECAUSE of the great software available (i.e., for a fee or free, it shouldn't matter).  (Since YOU mentioned his name and somehow avoided a mod editing your post, I can only chuckle and mention that anyone can Google "Andreas Möller 50G" and spot the URL to his site atop the search results.)   Maybe all this pertains to the fact HP would rather we buy the Prime over the 50G.  🙂

Best wishes.

Hi!, @JDW:

In the future, I advise you, before writing, read, the Terms of Use and Rules of Participation, in the Forum, to avoid uncomfortable situations.
