hi!

I'm doing maths alevel and just reached the Core 2 topic of Binomial Expansion.

A critical part of this is being able to use the nCr binomial expansion function and I cannot find the button or function for it!

I will post a picture of the exact button I need on another calculator for clarity.

Was wondering if anyone knows how to perform this function on the HP Prime?

Thanks!!

Hi!, @Jdfeather1410:

Welcome, to Forum !.

Syntax:

COMB(n, r)

Description:

Combinations. Returns, the number of combinations (without regard, to order) of n, things taken, r at a time: n!/(r!(n-r))

Example:

COMB(5,2) returns 10

Pictures aren't showing for me so I'm not sure if this was shown in the pictures. Guessing it was.

TOOLBOX->MATH->PROBABILITY->in there

The prime actually has more built in probabiliy calculation functons then any other calculator out there. The ones you see in that menu are just the "common" ones.
