I recently purchased 2 HP Pro Tablets 608 G1 running Windows 10 64bit. I got one for me and one for my wife and we really enjoy them. However right away we noticed the power drain on the battery, and as a tech with 5 certs/degrees I went to work. I had a great deal of experience while working in tech support at another computer company that I relied on to troubleshoot this issue. I also consulted the forums here.
The HP Pro Tablet was designed and intended to be a World Tablet and in that in most of the tablets 4 wireless devices can be found. My tablet has all 4 and my wife's just has 3. These devices are on all the time creating a drain on the battery. In the United States only 1 of these devices NEEDS to be used so the others can be disabled. I have written an article with pictures of how to and posted here

The fix did improve our battery life, we now can get up to 8 hours of battery usage.
It is also important to go to the HP Support site and update all the drivers in proper order, it is important to install the Chipset driver FIRST then reboot then the Video driver, then the touch screen driver.
Also in the above post I address the issue that some here in this forum have had with updating the BIOS. The HP Provided BIOS update can't Brick your tablet as some have posted and I address why in the link above. Of course some may object but my years in tech support have taught me a great deal about users and waiting.
I know the above information will be of great help to many with these tablets and I am really please with the tablet and enjoy using it and think it really is a good product.
