My Tablet 608 G1 arrived yesterday with Windows 10.  Out of the box, I noticed sluggish performance, auto-brightness issues, and poor touchscreen response.  It also gets extremely warm when charging and during heavy use on the lower right side (when looking at the back cover).

It was an older build of Windows 10 so I immediately performed a firmware/BIOS upgrade to v01.08 and installed the latest Windows 10 Pro build.  I also updated all the drivers that are available from the website.  It didn't fix andy of the issues.  Apps like Kindle wouldn't scale properly so I did a refresh of the device.  Most problem still exist but I didn't install any updated drivers.  Kindle now displays correctly.

Also, other people mention something about "5 min" remaining on battery life; mine just says "calculating..." and never returns an estimate.

Scrolling on the touchscreen is poor.  When I want to scroll, I slide my finger about a centimeter before the screen begins to scroll.  I've seen this before on my old Lenovo Miix 2 8 and believe it's a power management issue of the I2C HID Device.  I beleive what happens is Windows turns the device off.  The firsdt time you try and scroll, it takes a moment to wake it up hence the lack of response.  When you subsequently use the touch screen, it is snappy.  I have turned the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power to OFF (unticked) and it apperars more repsonvie now.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with buying this $800+ tablet.  Sure, it has a nice screen but the auto brightness is just so flaky, that having a high-res screen is pointless.  Battery life is terrible.  It does indeed drop at least 10% an hour.  I deliberately bought a better-known brand like HP over a $150 eBay special to avoid this issues.

Changing the power management on the device driver didn't fix the.   I will start a new thread secifically for the touchscreen responsiveness.

Same two issues as others here: Touch screen becomes unresposnive after waking from a three to five hour sleep requiring a reboot, and the irritating pause to begin scrolling initially

i contacted hp-support about that annoying touchscreen-lag/delay - they said they never heard of that problem.

they suggested rolling back to the older driver - there is none.

they asked me to install the hp essential updates software.

they even asked me to completely reset the device.

when i asked for repair they went silent.

I'm on win 8.1 just got my Tablet yesterday and am experiencing the touch delay issues, Like others have said it seems to take a millisecond or so to reigster a touch command any time you pause using the device.

Otherwise I really like the device if I could get this issue fixed it would be a definate keeper.

So this does not seem to be a Win 10 related issue since I'm seeing it on Win 8.1
