HP Slate 10 HD

I recently tried to update my HP Slate 10 HD to Android 4.4.2 through just clicking update in the settings. After installing, which took quite a while, it rebooted, only to show a what i could only describe as a broken Android symbol. I started googling and noticed that i wasn't the only one having this problem, but possibly the only one after approximately 2015. I tried the solutions I read on this forum, but all of them refer to a HP download page where you could find a working update, only now, there was nothing except a download for HP Support Assistant.

So could anyone tell me where you could find a working update.zip?

(Sorry for grammatical mistakes, English isn't my first language)

(Edit: I also tried a Factory Reset, also with no luck)

@simon1234555 If not done already, I suggest using a MicroSD card to reset the tablet as the factory reset you've attempted, hasn't worked:

If your tablet does not start normally, or if you do not remember the lock screen password, it might be necessary to perform a reset without turning on the tablet.

   CAUTION:

All data saved on your device is deleted when you perform a factory reset. All apps are uninstalled. Data stored in your Google Account can be restored. Back up all important files, either on the Web or with an external storage device, before resetting the tablet.

Use the following steps to begin the factory reset:

  1. Charge the tablet for at least half an hour, and then disconnect the charging cable from the tablet.

  2. If you have a microSD card installed in the tablet, remove the memory card before resetting the tablet.

  3. Select your tablet model from the list below to view instructions for resetting the tablet.

Please click here and find the steps under - "Resetting when the tablet does not start".

P.S: Welcome to HP Forums! 😉
