HP Stream 7
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I picked up an HP Stream 7 tablet. Upgraded to Windows 10 and all latest drivers. All seems to be working properly. I am trying to connect a Dictopro D100 Bluetooth keyboard and a "Quiet Wireless Bluetooth Mouse" (off-brand, search it on Amazon to see the one) to it.

I have connected both these devices to multiple other Windows computer and Android tablets. However, on the Stream, I am only able to connect to one Bluetooth device at a time. If I turn the mouse on, it works, but turning the keyboard on does nothing. If I turn the mouse and keyboard off and then turn the keyboard on, the keyboard works, but now the mouse won't work no matter what I do until I turn the keyboard off. The same thing happens with a Bluetooth headset; it will work but only if it's the first thing I connect. If I have both the keyboard and mouse on when I start the computer it will only connect to the last one it was connected to.

It's not a problem with the peripherals themselves or interference because as I said I've connected them simultaneously to multiple other computers/tablets. It's not a compatibility issue because the Stream does work with each one individually, and it's not an issue unique to these two peripherals because as I mentioned it also occurs with the LG audio headset (it only connects if I turn it on when the keyboard and mouse are both of). I can therefore only conclude it is some sort of driver/settings issue, but I am totally stumped. All my drivers are updated and I can't figure out what setting this would be. Can't find any similar problems online. Anyone know what I can do here?

Hey there! @Darmok554,

Are the Bluetooth drivers listed in the device manager?

Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.

If the Bluetooth drivers are listed in the device manager uninstall the Bluetooth driver from the device manager and install the latest version of Bluetooth driver and BIOS using HP support assistant.

Refer this article to know more information about using the HP support assistant. Click Here

Please try the steps recommended below.

a)   Open Control Panel by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.
b)   In the Control Panel search box, type Bluetooth, and then click Change Bluetooth settings.
c)   In the Bluetooth Settings dialog box, click the Options tab and do any of the following:
d)   To make your computer discoverable to Bluetooth devices, select the check box for Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer.
e)   When a Bluetooth enabled computer is in discovery mode, it broadcasts a wireless signal that allows it to be detected by other Bluetooth enabled computers or devices. This is sometimes called pairing mode.
f)   To allow Bluetooth devices to connect to your computer, select the check box for Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer.
To be notified when a Bluetooth device is trying to connect to your computer, select the check box for Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect.

Also, try the steps recommended below.

press Win + R,” type services.msc and then press the Enter key on your keyboard.

find the service “Bluetooth Support Service” and see it if is running.

If the service is not running, right-click on it and then select the “Start” option.

If you want to, you can also make the service start automatically at every Windows startup. To do that, right-click on the service and then select the “Properties” option.

In the Properties window select the option “Automatic” from the Startup Type drop-down menu, and then click on the “OK” button to save the changes.

Try the steps recommended below.

→ Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter.
→ Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it.
→ In General Tab change startup type Manual to Automatic.
→ Now click on Log On Tab and mark on “This Account” and type your account name or browse to find your account name.
→ Now remove both hidden password and restart your PC.
→ Now Re-install your Bluetooth drivers. You can download latest Bluetooth drivers from your PC official website.
→ If Bluetooth drivers not compatible with Windows 8.1 then follow simple steps.
→ Go to RUN(Windows logo + R) and type “regedit” to open registry editor
→ In registry editor go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion
