I just bought this TouchPad, had it on and have played with it for 2 days, and this morning I went to turn it on and NOTHING!! WTH?? I was just starting to enjoy the device and was looking forward to using it at work, now this. Am I doing something wrong? Did I DO something wrong? I would like some help if anyone can give me some insight. I tried to plug it into my computer and my computer only reconizes the device as a disk drive (F), not as HP Touchpad.
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

Perform a reboot on it by pressing and holding the Power button and center button for about 10-15 seconds.

I had the same issue immediately following a system update to HP webOS 3.0.2 68. Holding the power and the center buttons for 15-20 seconds caused the device to reboot and I am able to use my Touchpad again. Maybe this is a bug in the system update process? Thank you for posting this solution!

I'm having the same problem. Won't charge or power on. The cable/adapter will charge my playbook, so I don't think that is the problem. Playbook charger doesn't do any better. Plug the TP into the computer, and nothing. Hold Center/Power/VolUP button while plugged into the computer, and windows 7 tries to install qhsusb_dload and fails. Stock TP running latest WebOS.
The Touchpad has run well since I received it for my b-day in August 2011.
Any other ideas.

How long did you leave it on the wall charger? Leave it on for at least 2 hours.

The same thing just happened to me a couple of days ago. It was working in the morning, and when I went back to it in the afternoon it wouldn't do anything. I checked my charger, it works fine, plugged my touchpad directly into the wall and let it charge all day, tried the hard reset, still nothing. Completely dead. Do I have to send this in for service or something? Or is it a pretty black paperweight now?

I just don't understand how that is happening. It seems this is happening to people who leave their TP on a charger. Did you do this as well? If the "hold power and center button" trick didn't work for you, then I'd suggest calling HP Support on the phone.
