HP Expectre x2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can you please help me re to my laptop problem. I bought 1 HP expectre x2 laptop and Im not familiar with its features. After installing some applications, keyboard suddenly stopped working.sometimes it does sometimes not. Touchpad is ok(working). I dont know what is the problem, the hardware or the settings of my laptop. we tried to detached the screen from the keyboard and turn it back sothe keyboard works again.but after a sec.the keyboard stopped.

Well, there is no switch in Windows that you turn on or off.

 

I was going to suggest the typical troubleshooting tips for your x2 from this link...

It suggests removing the keyboard from the Device Manager and rebooting or running the UEFI Diagnostics tool at power on.

 

But I also found this thread suggesting its the hinge. Several seemed to discover the same for theirs.

If neither suggestions above work, then what applications did you install (since you didnt specify) and where did you get them? Removing it would help?

Only other possibility I can think of would be to return Windows to a previous restore point, or reinstall Windows.
