Yesterday while charging my laptop, I noticed that it hadn't fully charged, when usually an overnight charge is enough to easily fully charge the laptop. Today when charging it at night again, it barely charged at all, and was around 50% or 60% battery life. Similarly, I noticed this morning when unplugging it from the charger that the orange light on the side that indicates that the computer is being charged was flashing. Unplugging it didn't stop it from flashing, although it will occasionally and randomly stop flashing, although randomly.

There should be no damage to it, and I've had the laptop for a few months now, so I don't know why this is happening.

Hello Sihplak,

If its only a couple months old from original purchase, I would contact HP Support directly for a warranty issue.

Sounds like you probably have a bad battery or something else wrong on the motherboard.

You can try a Hard Reset first to see if that helps first...

Turn off the tablet and disconect everything except the keyboard base. Hold the Power button and Mute button down for 15 seconds. If nothing happens, continue on to Support for warranty help.
