Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Version 3.0.5 was the last release of webOS before HP pulled the plug on the whole series of devices. There is no newer version, and the servers are dead that supported webOS!
There are other alternatives. Please read the first two threads in this section for information. The TouchPad can run other OS's like Android, and others!

Work is still being done on the latest Android version, but earlier versions should work well.

If you like webOS, you could upgrade 3.0.5 by installing the community upgrade known as LuneCE.

There is a new version of webOS available. It is built with newer technologies, but it is also still under development, so it is up to you how adventurous you want to be. It's likely a new stable testing release will be issued this month.
